Deep Throat

Welcome Readers! A quick post today, I just wanted to note that skin flick director Gerard Damiano passed away. This happened a couple of months back, but I didn't hear or read of it until recently. He was famous for directing "Deep Throat", credited by many as the film that made porn mainstream. I hear this film referenced a lot in 70's stuff, (people asking others if they'd seen it or want to go to see it together, etc), not to mention the use of the name in the infamous Watergate scandal. That actually confused me a lot before. When I became aware of porn and I'd hear in school about the Watergate scandal, I wondered which used the name first. I didn't think it could have been the porn title being used as a name in such a serious case, but in the end it really was exactly that. Strange times those must have been! I watched it once on tape, it was an odd movie to me. It's sort of a comedy, not really something that would make me feel horny, or at least that's what I rememeber of it. I found that sweet Andy Warhol-ish art pictured above depicting Ms Lovelace doing her thing in the movie. Nice!

VS Ruffles!

Welcome Readers! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Did Santa bring you what you wanted? No? Maybe you were naughty again! Well, luckily for you the Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale is on so maybe you can find what you wanted after all. They had some really cute ruffled panties, but they're all gone. :^( Hope some of you got a few pairs for yourselves. I thought the sale usually started in January. Maybe with the economy in a downturn they had to start it early this time. I really like the panties pictured above, they have the ruffles I love and garter straps too...very nice!

Bike Show

I enjoy going to the Car and Motorcycle shows when they come through town. It doesn't matter that I have no intention of buying either one any time soon, it's just fun to go see what's out there and dream about what could be. Of course there are more than just car models there, there are also beautiful female models showing the cars and many lovely ladies in attendance as well. The economy definitely showed it's effect at this years motorcycle show. I'd guess the attendance was roughly half of what I have seen in recent years, and the manufacturers had much less elaborate displays. A certain motor company from Milwaukee really let me down, having a tiny booth on the side of the show with a total of ONE bike on display. This company, while I'm sure is being affected by the economic downturn, should have HUGE reserves of cash available given the windfall off sales it has enjoyed over the last 15 years or so. I thought it was kind of uncool of them not to have a better presentation at the show. At any rate, the professional models were much fewer in number this year. Sorry no model pictures from the show to share this time. :^(

Panty Addicition

Howdy Readers! Do you see anything you like under the tree? That's the very sexy Silvia Saint pictured for your holiday enjoyment.

Although I seem to have a lifelong love of things lingerie, I do go through periods when I wonder if the addiction may have left me. The last few months, I haven't felt the pull of silky underthings on my wallet. In fact, I've been very good in that area. Part of the reason is that I already have a lot of lingerie in my collection and quite frankly can't afford the drawer space for much more. Another reason is that the budget needs to be spread around to more practical uses.

At any rate, it has been a long while since I've bought any lingerie and even when I've looked at on line catalogs, I haven't felt the super hungry feeling inside to buy anything; until the other day. For some reason, the flames seemed to have been fully rekindled. I must have spent several hours looking at all the lovely panties, imagining how they might feel against my sensitive and engorged skin. I like to fill my virtual shopping cart with a wish list of silkies, then go back and whittle it down item by item. Victoria's Secret is offering free two day shipping on orders over $100 right now BTW. A good deal if you can afford it. I ordered a few panties from another site called Fresh Pair. The nice thing about this site is they offer free shipping, even on small orders. They carry a lot of different brands, from everyday type panties to much more luxurious items. Anyway, I ordered a couple of panties that I'd been eyeing for some time now, a little gift to myself. This was my first order from Fresh Pair, so I'll let you know how it goes and take a few pics of my new panties when they come in.

100 on the Year?

Hola Readers! I'm close to a new milestone here at the Badside. Somewhere around mid year I realized that I might actually hit the 100 post mark by year's end. As of this one, I'm at 92, but there's less than two weeks remaining before the year closes out. Still, my production here has definitely been on the upswing. I'll see if I can hit that mark, but I only want to do it if I have something interesting (to me anyway) to say, anything less would be cheap. ;^)

Anyway, I think all my holiday shopping is done for the year, even bought the usual "just in case" gifts, they're still unwrapped, but ready to go. Pictured above are some seasonal sensations from Frederick's of Hollywood. I always liked the maribou (sp?) accents they use on lingerie. I know, it's so cutesy, but maybe that's what I like about it, the playfulness and fun of it. Mrs. Claus needs to get her naughty on too!

Hot DVD!

Hey Y'all! How are you doing? I rented another movie the other day, this one starring the very pretty Diane Lane (pictured above). The movie is titled "Unfaithful", so right off the bat you get a pretty good idea of what might be going on in the movie. The movie did a fairly good job of showing a person overcome with passion. Where the passion becomes a drug and you can't live without it, no matter the cost. The weather around here has been downright frigid, but watching some of the sex scenes in this movie made me feel all steamy! I want to say more, but I wouldn't want to ruin the movie for you. I will say that I enjoyed watching this one, and I can recommend it. It's not cheap like a Micky Rourke film or something, the acting here is very good and the love making although extremely passionate is tastefully portrayed. Give it a rent when you get the chance.

Farewell

A bit of sad news in today's post. You might have already heard, but the forever lovely Bettie Page has passed away. She was truly an American icon. Photos of her have influenced countless artists and models over the years. I wish you Merry Christmas Bettie Page and say thank you for being the person you were. I'll take this moment to again remind my readers that "The Notorious Bettie Page" starring Gretchen Mol is a fantastic movie to watch. I'm not entirely sure of it's biographical accuracy, but it does tell an interesting tale and the film is very well acted; highly recommended.

Hola Readers! How's the week shaping up for ya? I finally got a chance to watch the VS Fashion Show over the weekend. My buddy has an HDTV and had recorded it in HD as well. The picture quality was amazing, breathtaking really. The girls were looking beautiful and glamorous as always. We were gathered that evening to watch the Oscar De La Hoya fight (great fight by the way, although amazingly one sided). My friends aren't exactly lingerie experts, but they sure liked what they saw (talking about the lingerie now ;^P). I was thrilled to see all my favorite lingerie models walking the stage in spectacular clarity.

Any of you football fans remember the Pay Per View event during halftime of the Super Bowl named The Lingerie Bowl? Yes, for those of you who don't remember, it is exactly what you are imagining. Women in lingerie playing football. Now, I don't need to tell anyone who's a regular reader of this blog, how much of a lingerie fan I am. And most of you also know I love the football. Combining these two great loves would seem to be a match made in heaven, right? Well, not for this lingerie and football pervert. It's not like chocolate and peanut butter or ice cream and cake or even steak and potato. No these two wonderful things need to be separate and exclusive. Something about the thought of that pretty lingerie getting ripped and muddied doesn't sit well with me. I enjoy seeing women in sensual settings, soft pillows and warm comfortable surroundings.

I'd much rather see some women really playing football than a thinly disguised excuse for watching scantily clad women traipse about in frilly undergarments. I sometimes catch myself rewinding a TV recording to see a pretty woman in lingerie and then think, why am I doing that when I can watch REAL porn? Of course, there are many people out there who no doubt disagree with me wholeheartedly, and to you I say cheers and enjoy.

The Economy

Ciao Readers! Guess what? My recording of the Victoria's Secret show worked this year, YAY! OK, so you say you're bummed out because the economy is in such poor shape. You think the dark clouds are hanging over us and there's no bright spot in sight? Wrong, the Badside is here with some good news for ya. Yes, even though the economy is in a slump there's no reason to fret because lingerie sales are up, up, up. It seems our friends over in the UK can't get enough knickers and bras to satisfy themselves as the panty provider BeCheeky.com is claiming a 100 percent rise in sales year over year from 2007 to 2008 (you can read all about it here). So if you want a sound investment it seems you should go open that lingerie drawer and have a look. I'm sure with all that new lingerie floating around, sales weren't the only thing on the rise! ;^)

In other naughty business news, it seems a certain soft drink maker is looking to put some more fizz in their soda sales by hiring Jill Beraud, former Chief Marketing Officer at Victoria's Secret. Yes, Jill spent 13 years at the silky intimates maker under the same role (article here). Here's wishing good luck to her at her new job.

Howdy Readers! Today's pics are by special request from Sheen, yes the lovely Beyonce at this years AMA's. Wow...what a woman! She's what we refer to around here as thick and juicy! LOL! ;^D I read that she didn't want her husband Jay-Z (lucky bastard) to buy her a precious stone ring for their engagement. Personally, I'm opposed to the mining of precious stones because I hate to see mother earth being raped for what amounts to expensive trinkets. Add to that the HORRIBLE things happening in Africa (Blood Stones) where forced, slave and child labor is occuring regularly as well as hacking off people's hands and feet and there's not much justification for precious stone jewelry. That's just my opinion, I don't judge other people for wanting jewelry, it's just not right for me. Anyway, let me get down off my soapbox now. Where was I? Oh yeah, just wanted to say that I like her attitude and hope more women follow her lead on the ring thing.

The Holidays are Here!

Hola Readers! How was the long weekend for you? Did you venture into the madness that is Black Friday? Did you overindulge yourself on turkey and other edible delights? Did you veg out on the couch and watch too much TV? Hope you did all of the above. ;^)

Today is a quick post to alert you of the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Said show will be airing this Wednesday, Dec. 3rd at 10 PM on CBS. In past years, my recorder has mysteriously plotted against me seeing this show. I think I tried several years and it would never get recorded. Finally two years ago, I got it right (or the machine felt sorry for me) and I was able to record it. I'll be attempting to repeat the act this year as well (keep your fingers crossed). I think the show is shot in HD so it really looks spectacular. Anyway, I guess for lingerie freaks like me, this has become like the Charlie Brown specials growing up; a marker letting you know the holidays are here!

Red Carpet

Howdy Readers! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Did you eat a lot of delicious home cooking? I've never been one who likes battling mobs of people at the mall, so in the past I have always tried to get my holiday shopping done early. Last year I did a lot of my shopping on line too. I'm not criticizing others, but to me the idea of getting to the store at 4 AM the day after Thanksgiving seems like torture. I can definitely understand the high one must get from being one of the few people to get one of the teaser promotionals at a dirt cheap price though.

Not sure if any of you are big music fans, but I watched some of the AMA awards on TV the other night. I love these red carpet events where the stars get all swanked up for the cameras. You always see something unusual or sexy being worn. At the risk of becoming a Rihanna fan blog, I have to post these two pics of her at the event. When she won her award the camera followed her up the stairs to the stage. She was very lady like and held the back of her dress down, much to my dismay as I was hoping to see her panty covered or bare ass under there.

Celebrity Spotting

Hola Readers! How was your weekend? Well we're into our short week here so hold on tight and get ready for the holiday. YAY...football and turkey, two great reasons to be thankful for sure! The pic of the day has nothing to do with anything I'm writing about today, just something that I liked and thought you might too.

When the weather starts to get cold it's always a great excuse to rent some movies and veg out in front of the TV. Of interest to the horny readers of this blog might be "Taking Lives" a thriller starring the lovely Angelina Jolie. The movie was just so so, maybe a bit too predictable for me, but not a complete waste either. The saving grace here was Angelina going topless. She has very nice natural breasts, although she is a bit skinny looking too. Her arms are verging on skeletal, which is not a turn on to me. Still, there's some extra thrill that one gets from seeing a celebrity in the buff. Not sure why that is.

Bra-Suit

Hola Readers! How is your week going so far? In current events, I hear there is a possible class action law suit against Victoria's Secret. A woman claimed that a VS bra irritated her skin and caused her some medical problems. Hardly seems like lawsuit material (pun intended). I think that the US is over zealous in bringing this sort of case to court. For gosh sakes, if the bra is irritating your skin, don't wear it, return it to the store and complain, end of story. I'm not totally defending the big corporations either, we all know they can be quite greedy and evil if left unchecked. I will say that VS has always provided me with excellent product and usually good service at their many locations. Comparing my VS panties and lingerie with other brands, the materials and workmanship of the products are usually a cut above most other brands. I even have a few higher end pieces of lingerie and they seem about the same level of over all quality. Does that make me a VS fan-boy? :^D

The Quicker Panty Picker Upper

Howdy Readers! How was your weekend? Happened to catch R and B singer Robin Thicke (pictured above with sexy singer Rihanna) on TV the other night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jimmy asked Robin about panties being thrown up on stage during his performances. Robin recalled several interesting incidents. In one case, he said he was singing with his eyes closed and his shirt was all sweaty; when he opened his eyes there were two panties stuck on his shirt. In a second case, he said a girl had thrown her panties on stage and he slipped and fell down. He says that now he has a guy who picks up all the panties so that won't happen again. Jimmy was delighted to learn that there was an actual occupation in that field. I wouldn't mind doing that as a part time gig!

Quills

Watched the movie "Quills" starring Geoffrey Rush recently, great movie. The acting is superb and Titanic chick Kate Winslet is so titillating in her period dress, her lovely breasts bursting from the top (see above cover pic). Actually Rush is just amazing (as usual) in his role as the Marquis De Sade. Kind of reminds me of Amadeus, playful and naughty with a stubborn streak. Makes you wonder just what is it in those books the Marquis wrote that is so bad we still are banned from reading them? I know the legend of the man, he was not so cheeky in reality, or so I've heard. Perhaps some research is in order? The film definitely plays sympathetic to the naughty Marquis, and is sending a clear signal about modern censorship. Though somewhat sexual in nature, the film is not really sexy, more of a naughty jab at the conservative types of the world. Winslet does reveal her ample bosom, but the context in which it's done is not something that will excite the viewer, nor was it intended to. Well, have a great weekend everyone, do try and stay out of trouble.

Vote

Hola Readers! Hope you all went out and voted yesterday. I had to do quite a bit of reading, as there were so many propositions on the ballot time around. Generally, I'm against over regulation by government. I think it's a bad idea. I know most laws are enacted with good intentions, but I don't think we need a law for everything. The problem is that people challenge common sense or try and circumvent the exsisting laws and go around the spirit of what was written. At any rate, I'm getting side tracked here. I would like to say that we are living in exciting times. Our President elect is a black man! I don't think his race had much to do with the election at all for most people, and that my friends is a good thing. Maybe our nation can finally put past pain and wrong doing behind us and move forward together as one. It's a proud moment for America, whether you voted for Obama or not, you have to be proud of our nation for taking this step. In San Francisco there was a proposal to bar the police from arresting hookers. Not exactly the same as legalized prostitution. I could see how the cops would then target the johns since they couldn't go after the hookers. If you're going to legalize prostituion, you have to do it right. Make it legal only under certain strict circumstances. Have health checks, age checks, no pimping rules, control pricing, and maybe a zoned area of activity or only allow transactions to take place indoors. Knee jerk initiatives have no place on the ballot, I wish people would think things through before they put things out there. I shouldn't say any more, this isn't a political blog after all.
