RIP Annette

Hello Readers.  I read earlier that Annette Funicello passed away from MS today, sad news.  She was before my time so she was never really on my radar until later in life.  She sure was a cutie in her youth and a beauty as a mature woman.  I'm sure many a load was shot for her!  That's meant as a compliment, so sorry if it sounds crude.

I'm not too familiar with her movies or music, but from what I know she was a pretty talented person, able to "do it all" as they say.

I think she'll always be remembered as the pretty girl from her beach movies.  Rest in Peace Annette.

Have to agree with you... she was a cutie. Never saw her in a movie but saw her guest star a lot on TV. I can't ever remember anything bad ever being said or published about her.

A cutie, indeed. And you really have to love those 60s dresses-- they managed to make them shorter than women would dare to go today while keeping them cute and innocent-looking.

I'm new here but man alive, what's with all of the spam attacks these days? As usual, the lust for a quick buck ruins everything. Just look at online chat rooms. Almost nothing but 'bots' these days.

Malcolm, you're right, the dresses were more daring and yet innocent at the same time. And yes, I don't know where all these bot comments are coming from, it started a few months ago. Might have to go to comment screening even though I hate it.

badside, I just watched "The Party" with Peter Sellers. If you want to see what I think the all-time ideal for both a dress and a woman, pay attention to Claudine Longet in that film. I've always had the hots for her and that short and sweet little green babydoll dress gets my motor humming.

"The Party" has other nice things like a blatant upskirt of another woman at the end of a performance of Longet's "Nothing to Lose." If you haven't seen this movie, you owe it to yourself to watch!
