Bodysuit

Hello Everyone!  How was your weekend?  Mine was kind of hectic, not a lot of rest for me.  In fact things have been going really fast for me lately, thus no post last Friday.  What's that?  You missed it?  Aw shux, so nice of you to say!  LOL!

OK, so how to kick off the week?  How about by showing off some lingerie I discovered.  Pictured is the point d'esprit bodysuit from Forever 21.  I think this is pretty hot stuff.  The description from the web site says:

A point d'esprit mesh bodysuit featuring lightly padded balconette cups. Wide adjustable straps. Elastic trimmings. Built-in underwire. Double snap button closure at crotch. Semi-sheer. Knit.

It comes in two colors, the purple (special for Slip of a Girl) and a pale white/bone they call nude.  I think it looks great in either color.  The price is a very reasonable  $14.80, so if you can't make up your mind get both!

Neon Gold

Willkommen Readers!  Well, it's hump day so you're half way to the weekend.  I was watching Jimmy Fallon the other night and he had musical guest Neon Hitch on.  She sang her new single "Gold".  I'd actually never heard of her before, but I was charmed by her performance.  In doing a little research, she's actually from the UK and has been doing music over there for a while.  I really liked her art deco Egyptian themed costumes and the great stage presence she has.  This girl knows how to strike a pose and play in front of a camera.

Neon has a great booty which is accentuated by those high waisted shorts in the video clip, here's an example from another of her videos, very nice.

Her video for "Gold" is on why-toob, but I actually thought you'd enjoy her performance from Late Night better, so that's why it's there below.  There's an ad and some misc stuff before the video starts, stick with it, it does play and it's worth watching. 

Jean Paul Gaultier

Bonjour Readers!  How was your weekend?  Today, I thought I'd do something a little different and showcase a designer; Jean Paul Gaultier.  That's him pictured above with the lovely Dita Von Teese.  Born in a suburb of Paris, he is said to have had an early attraction to fashion and style.  I find some of his work to be bizarre and yet brilliant as well.

 He is responsible to for the costumes of many movies including The Fifth Element in which Mila Jovovich prances around in a ribbon like outfit.  Perhaps himself inspired by Frida Kahlo's self portrait.

His fashion has adorned the likes of many a movie star or musician.  He outfitted Madonna on several of her tours and as you can see Rihanna has an affinity for his work as well.

Gaultier seems unafraid to try and mix styles, genres or elements; lingerie on the outside, past and future or the masculine and feminine.

Pussy Riot!!

Zdravstvuj Readers!  You know I try to keep things light around here and usually don't dip my toes in the political cess pool, but today I thought I'd give a little shout out of support to the ladies of Pussy Riot.  You may have heard or read about them over the last few months; they're a female punk rock group from Russia who stormed an orthodox cathedral and played an anti Putin song.  Now I say, that was extremely disrespectful of the worshipers who were there at the time, but today they were sentenced to a TWO YEAR prison term!  WTF?!!  Anyway, I feel people have the right to protest and demonstrate and speak up if they think something is wrong.  As far as I can tell, they didn't seem to do any physically destructive damage, just ran up and started playing their song and doing some disrespectful movements.  I might not always agree with what's being said or the way it is presented, but throwing someone in the clink for two years is excessive and will only make Putin look worse than he already did as well as draw attention to what the ladies were protesting to begin with.  I guess that actually means Pussy Riot won!  Mission accomplished ladies!  Wonder if they allow conjugal visits in Russia? ;^)

Jeana Tomasino

Happy Hump Day Readers!  How about a blast from the past today?  OK, back story here is that one day I was flippin channels and somehow started watching a rerun of one of those "Housewives of" shows.  These are generally something I have no interest in, or so I would have thought.  For whatever reason, I let it play a while.  One of the wives was named Jeana Keough, the wife of a former MLB pitcher.  Well, at some point she goes to some sort of fan show or convention and is signing autographs because she was in Playboy in her youth.  She's probably around 50 in the current show.  Anyway, they showed her Playboy pic and I recognized that issue instantly as I'd seen it in my youth.  I would never have guessed that it was the same woman at all.  She is still very lovely, a MILF for sure, but she looks (to me anyway) like a completely different person.  Don't get me wrong, this isn't a dig on her at all, as I said I think she's a MILF and definitely would be into her looks wise.  It just blew me away how different she looked.

I find it fascinating that hair and makeup make such a huge difference in appearance.  I'd seen pics of Jessie with her, what I assume, naturally curly hair, but when I saw the pics of her with the straightened hair I was blown away.  To me, she looked amazing, prettier some how.  I suppose some of that is the makeup too, but her hair seemed to really enhance her looks.  I do wonder though if curly hair styles were in, would I think the opposite way and like her better with curly hair?

 Don't get me wrong, I think she's very cute and pretty either way, I just really like the way she looks with straightened hair.  She looks stunning; breathtaking!

Welcome Readers!  Been swamped lately and am still playing catch up.  Crazy last couple of weeks for me.  I was able to stop by the shopping district on the way home the other day.  I went upstairs to where Frederick's of Hollywood is and...where was it?  Gone!  I couldn't believe it.  There wasn't even a trace of it's existence.  In it's place was some other store which had annexed it's space.  You couldn't even tell it was ever there, completely erased.  It was like being in one of those moves where the guy is trying to convince people that he'd seen a murder, but no one believes him and all the evidence is gone and covered up.  The store was right there I tell you, right there.  Luckily there's still another one I can shop at, would hate it if I only was able to get things from there on line.
